1986
black mare
(Mark Me First x Dee Bee Deck)
Bought as a 3 yr old at the 1989 World Show.
Shown in Aged Mares and Non-Pro for the next 2 years. She was bred to Dreamfinder and
foaled her first foal, Night Vision.
Bred back to Dreamfinder, she was shown at the 1990 World Show where she won Broodmares,
shown by Doug Schembri. Her first foal, Night Vision was shown at the same show, and won
World Champion Weanling Filly (42 entries), shown by Bill Laurie. Night Deck was at the
time carrying the next year's National Champion Weanling Gelding, Recurring Dream.
After retiring to the broodmare band, her luxurious
full tail continued to grow... about 1' per year! Finally, at 9 1/2 ' long,
two tail bags, and over 20 pounds of hair... we decided to reduce it to a more
manageable length again.
First foal Night Vision shown winning World Champion
Weanling Filly in 1991. While she always had mottled skin and brightly stripped
hoves, at the time she won Worlds, she had but 2 dime and quarter sized spots
on her front shoulders. By the time she was 2 yrs old,
she had started to resemble what she had been named for... Night Vision.

Second foal Recurring Dream was not only National
Champion Weanling Gelding, but he went on to win several silver medallions in
roping, steer daubing, rope race, and the coveted 1997 World's Best Appaloosa
at age 5. He has won World's Best Appaloosa again in 1999 and 2000.
Night Deck's next two offspring were very similar
in body, type and color.
Exotic Dream (1993) and
Night Of Dreams (1994), both
were halter horses first, then performance horses. Up until this time, Night
Deck had only been bred to Dreamfinder. In 1995, the two fillies teamed up to
win the World Champion Produce of Dam for Night Deck.
The next offspring was sired by our son of Dreamfinder,
Pleasant Dreams. She is named Night To Remember, after some tense moments during
birth. Born basically solid...once again, Appaloosa genes kicked in to bring
on those spots at about 2 yrs old. In 1999, as a 3 yr old, she was Res. High
Point in the Nation in Snaffle Bit Reining. In 2000, she continued to be shown
in roping and reining events, ultimately winning a medallion in Steer Daubing.
In 2001, she became the "teacher" for owner Karen Grimm in roping
events, and will continue to show Non-Pro events as well as an embryo transfer
donor mare.
Full brother to the above mare
is 1997 gelding, Night of Pleasure, who won a bronze medallion at Worlds in Hunter In Hand
with Christy King.
Night of Pleasure wins his SILVER MEDALLION in 2001 in Western Riding!

The 1998 solid black stallion Knight of Nights was her next offspring. He is a son of Impressive Andrew, 16 hands as a yearling, and one of the best horses we've ever had the pleasure to have raised. He is also N/N.
FLASH! Bronze medallion 2001 Hunter In Hand Stallions!
Night Deck's 1999 baby was the 1999 Res. World Champion Weanling Colt, That's Classified. Sired by our own gold medallion stallion, Classic Black.

That's Classified continues to show under saddle in 2004 with his new owner,
Karen Lewis, Kearney, NE.
Night Deck is one of our embryo transfer donor mares. In 2000, Night Deck was inducted in the Appaloosa Hall Of Fame.
